Arizona State U Law Students Speak on Gender-Based Violence
The Dr. Jovito V. Salonga Center for Law and Development (SCLD) of Silliman University are hosting in a series of activities aimed at eliminating gender-based violence two students from the Arizona State University (ASU) Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.
Krystele Fernandez and Felicia Cantrell are at Silliman as part of their exposure trip to the judiciary and the law academe of the Philippines.
On July 11, they will give a presentation on laws affecting women and children at a seminar at the Silliman University College of Law which is jointly coordinated by the Gender Watch Against Violence and Exploitation (GWAVE). A few days after that, they will also interface on issues such as human trafficking with other law students and advocates representing cause-oriented non-government organizations in Negros Oriental.
